Training on the WHO Mental Health Gap Action Program

Yesterday and today in Kiev we are conducting a training "WHO Mental Health Gap Action Programme, mhGAP" for primary care physicians (GPs) from 12 regions of Ukraine.

During the training, participants obtain the skills of initial mental state assessment (in accordance with the GPs competence) and interaction with patients having symptoms of various mental disorders - depression, psychotic states, personality disorders, mental and behavioral disorders due to psychoactive substance use.

The training was organized within the framework of the project "Integrating Addiction Treatment and HIV Services into Primary Care Clinics in Ukraine”, which is being implemented by the Ukrainian Institute on Public Health Policy in cooperation with the Yale University School of Medicine (USA).
