The latest UIPHP research results on various aspects of the HIV epidemic in Ukraine and in the world were presented at the virtual poster sessions of the 24th International AIDS Conference.
On 29 July – 2 August, the 24th International AIDS Conference “AIDS 2022”, organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS), took place in a hybrid format both virtually and in-person in Montreal, Canada.
This year the aim of the Conference was to call on the world to come together to re-engage and follow the science. It was expected to define future research agendas, to shift latest evidence to action, and to chart a new consensus on overcoming the HIV epidemic as a threat to public health and individual well-being.
The organizers paid special attention to the issues of adapting of innovations in science, policy and medical practice in the response to COVID-19, which were based on the experience of HIV response, and consolidating good practices for pandemic preparedness.
UIPHP researchers, together with the partners, presented the results of the recent studies on various aspects of the HIV epidemic in Ukraine and in the world, conducted with the participation of specialists of the Ukrainian Institute of Public Health Policy, at the virtual poster sessions of “AIDS 2022”:
