On December 20, a training for field staff of the project "Expanding Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in Ukraine" was held in Kyiv.
Participants from five regions of Ukraine (L’viv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and Odessa) mastered HIV and hepatitis C rapid tests, and learned the basics of blood sampling to prepare a dry drop to detect early stage of HIV infection.
Appreciations for the high professionalism to the invited trainers - Maria Gennadiivna Lyulchuk and Olena Mykolaivna Kyslykh, researchers of the Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases named after L.V. Gromashevsky of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
The “Expanding MAT in Ukraine” project has been implemented by the Ukrainian Institute on Public Health Policy since 2018.
